Last week NoiseNet attended the Australian Institute of Local Government Rangers workshop in Rosehill Sydney.
It was a fantastic opportunity to understand the diverse range of challenges, climates and personalities that Rangers deal with on a daily and weekly basis. From alpine to desert, from sub-tropical to CBD there are some fascinating challenges and great work being done across NSW.
NoiseNet had the opportunity to present on the challenges of Noise Management. Looking at how current legislation makes managing noise incredibly difficult, and how Rangers can be better supported and prepared to be able to tackle the very real health and psychological issues presented by intrusive noise.
We look forward to the opportunity to engage with the various councils in NSW over the coming months to help you better resolve noise complaints.
Thanks to the organising committee, the speakers and everyone for making the 3 days so interesting and so much fun.
